FFBC is a biblical counseling and training center certified through IABC and FBC (International Association of Biblical Counseling and Fellowship of Biblical Counselors.) The ministry has two primary objectives.
1) FFBC delivers biblical counseling to those in need. At its core, biblical counseling relies on the Word of God, prayer, and the Holy Spirit, to lead people out of brokenness, pride, self-reliance and circumstantial living. Repentance, obedience, and biblical disciplines are key tenants of biblical counsel. The intent of the counseling is to bring hope to the hopeless, set captives free, and lead individuals and couples into intimacy with God. In accordance with Colossians 2:8, and other scriptural references, biblical counseling trusts the Lord for provision, restoration, and healing, and does not rely on the modern philosophies of man for its guidance and direction.
2) FFBC is a certified training center for the International Association of Biblical counselors and Fellowship of Biblical Counselors. The primary function of the training center is to equip Saints with the education, skill-set, tool-kit, and certification in biblical counseling, enabling them to provide intensive biblical discipleship to others in need.

Biblical Counseling services
First there is an application process with questions addressing spiritual, emotional, personal, family and health back grounds. Additionally a personal testimony is required. Upon approval, counselees will begin a process of intensive discipleship. The counseling is customized and delivered in 12 week segments that include daily homework and a weekly counseling sessions. The homework consists of bible study, scripture memorization, sermon teachings, and biblically-based reading materials. The weekly session is a 1:1 contact with a certified biblical counselor focused on the previous weeks work and biblically addressing life circumstances. Why do we require homework in biblical counseling?
The primary purposes of the homework are to ensure that individuals are pressing in to the Word of God, establishing biblical disciplines, and to shift the focus to the Lord and His teachings. Digging into the work daily through studies packed with scripture leads counselees into a greater reliance on God. Hebrews 4:12 says the word of God is living and active sharper than any two edge sword dividing soul and spirit joint and marrow and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. It is vital to the soul to study the Word of God, and to press into godly teaching. It is where the believer finds the answers pertaining to life and godliness, as stated in 2 Peter 1:3.
What areas does biblical counseling address?
Biblical counseling can be provided to people of all ages and can be administered individually or to couples. Topics of counsel may include, but are not limited to, sexual sin, idolatry, addiction, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, truama, and worldly brokenness. Biblical Counselors are equipped to address individuals, couples, marriages and parents.
How is Biblical Counseling different than Christian counseling?
Biblical counseling relies solely on the biblical principles found in the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and prayer. Specifically, biblical counseling adheres closely to Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 2:8; Romans 12:1-2 and Philippians 4:8. Biblical counseling does not incorporate the modern philosophies of man or the world views on self-reliance and self-esteem. It does not include psychology in its teachings. Some ‘Christian’ counseling engages in what is called the ‘integration approach’ which mixes psychology with scripture.
